The wines of Etienne Grivot go from strength to strength and over the past few vintages he has firmly established himself as one of the very best addresses in Vosne Romanée. There is much less extraction in his wines than there was in the 1990s and their concentration is much purer and refined. They show strong vineyard definition and express a lovely silkiness of tannin. His 2006s and 2007s are quite delightful.
