Domaine Henri & Gilles Buisson

Widely regarded as one of the finest producers in the village of Saint-Romain, Domaine Henri & Gilles Buisson has been described as one of Burgundy's next superstars by Neal Martin in Vinous.

The domain's history dates back centuries, but it started its modern era with Henri Buisson deciding to bottle his wines in 1947. Henri’s son Gilles took over in the 1980s with his wife Monica, and made some valuable acquisitions in appellations like Meursault or Corton.

In the early 2000's the torch was passed to the 8th generation, with brothers Franck and Frederick now at the helm and committed to respecting the typicity of each "climat" by adopting a low intervention approach.

Protecting the ecosystem has always been a priority for the Buissons who were pioneering organic viticulture in Burgundy as early as the late 1940s and are now fully certified organic and biodynamic.

The domain was recently awarded one grape in the first-ever 2026 Michelin Grapes selection. The future here looks very promising indeed!
