Noir de Blancs
This is the term coined by Flint Burgundy Director Jason Haynes for red Burgundies made by producers most celebrated for their whites. Often made in tiny volumes (the whites representing the lion's share of production), these reds hail primarily from the Côte de Beaune, from the villages of Volnay and Pommard, and Beaune itself. All too easily overlooked, they are world-class wines in their own right.
