Indian summer whites
If the height of summer calls for rosé and lighter whites (not to mention chillable reds), now's the time for richer white wines. The most celebrated examples would include Meursault and Chardonnays from New World regions such as Margaret River and Sonoma. The perennially underrated whites of the Rhône Valley – made from the Marsanne and Roussanne or Viognier grapes – also fit the bill.
