Clavis Orea is a stylish and approachable Saint Emilion Grand Cru produced by winemaker Franck Jugelmann and former-sommelier Lahcene Boutouba. It’s a blend of 70% Merlot, 20% Cab Franc and 10% Cab Sauvignon from vines belonging to the Rollet family on the limestone plateau of Saint-Étienne-de-Lisse. The wine is aged in barrel (30% new) for 16 months. Ready to drink on release, it boasts an expressive nose and juicy mid-palate. Cooling acidity and a grippy yet supple tannins provide a sense of purpose of place.
