Sandhi was founded in 2010 by one of America’s most influential sommeliers, Raj Parr, and leading winemaker Sashi Moorman. The name Sandhi—meaning “collaboration” in Sanskrit—reflects their shared vision: to craft wines that express purity, balance, and a genuine sense of place.
All their vineyards are in the Santa Rita Hills and Santa Barbara County, including some of the region’s most exceptional sites, including Bentrock, La Rinconada, and Sanford & Benedict. The vineyards are farmed organically, and winemaking is intentionally restrained: low yields, gentle pressing, wild yeasts, minimal new oak, and modest alcohols.
The Chardonnays are taut, saline, and finely textured, while the Pinot Noirs offer lifted aromatics, red fruit, and a cool-climate edge that echoes their coastal origins. The wines perfectly represent the ethos of the new California, with clarity, restraint and balance the order of the day.
