Lukas van Loggerenberg has become one of the leading names in South Africa’s new generation of winemakers, and the wines seem to get better every year. Working with exceptional vineyard sites across the Cape, he produces transparent, site-driven wines that combine precision with an unmistakable sense of personality. From old-vine Chenin Blanc and Cabernet Franc to expressive Syrah bottlings, his wines have rapidly gained a devoted following, yet remain completely accessible. Alongside his more serious single-vineyard wines, Lukas also produces the wonderfully approachable Break-a-Leg range. He affectionately describes this trio of Cinsault rosé, Merlot and Chardonnay as his “pizza wines”, designed simply for enjoyment and sharing.
