Grenache is known in as Cannonau on Sardinia, where it has a long history. Made with 30% whole bunch, this is a bold, sun-infused example – with savoury, herbal and ripe stone fruit aromas – but it’s by no means heady. Its freshness speaks of the altitude of the vineyard (760m asl, hence the name), which is near the town of Mamoiada. The label, designed by Francesca Ballarini, who also works with Chiara Condello, is inspired by Mamoiada's famous carnival.
