2024 Langhe Nebbiolo 'Bricco Lago', Cascina Penna-Currado

This is about as fresh and vibrant as Nebbiolo comes – a red to enjoy throughout the year, it can be lightly chilled in the summertime. The vines of up to 65 years old lie just above a lake (hence the name, lago) in San Stefano, which is just outside the Barolo DOCG. Made with 100% whole berries, after a brief maceration, the wine is raised in neutral casks then bottled in the autumn following harvest. Expect thrilling acidity, moreish sapidity and an array of lifted red fruit and floral aromas.
