Laurelyne Bret

Laurelyne is from the tiny village of Varennes-lès-Mâcon in the Maconnais, the southernmost part of Burgundy in France. It was by going to winemakers’ fairs with her father, the owner and winemaker at La Soufrandière (Bret Brothers), that she developed an interest in wine and business. After graduating from the Lycée Lamartine in 2022, she enrolled in ISARA Lyon where she is a third year student in their agricultural and agrifood engineering program. This coming school year, she will start a double degree with a business school in Lyon. In 2025 she interned at Domaine Belargus in Anjou. On her family’s estate, she has helped with a wide range of tasks, from leaf thinning to harvesting and bottling. Laurelyne also has a keen interest in horses, having taught riding and also worked on a Norwegian horse farm. We are delighted to welcome Laurelyne from 4 August through 24 October 2026.
