Buyer

Adam was born and grew up in rural Lincolnshire. After school, he studied French and German at the University of Sheffield, with a year abroad in Perpignan, France and Heidelberg, Germany. He then trained to be a language teacher, and, realising his calling was elsewhere, he started as a Trainee Store Manager at Majestic Wine in Bangor in 2008. He worked in a number of Majestic stores in the Midlands over two years, before joining the respected importer Richards Walford in 2010 as a Buying and Sales Assistant. He then joined Berry Bros.& Rudd in 2012 when they purchased Richards Walford. At Berry Bros. & Rudd, he took up a position as Buyer for Burgundy, Loire, Jura and Savoie in their trade arm, Fields, Morris & Verdin (FMV). He worked alongside Jasper Morris until his retirement in 2017, at which point Adam took over buying his regions for the whole business. Adam joined the Flint team in the autumn of 2026. He holds the WSET Diploma and is a Chevalier du Tastevin. He has judged wines for both the IWSC and Decanter. In his spare time, Adam enjoys cycling. He lives with his partner and two daughters in East London.
