2017 Pommard 1er Cru Clos Blanc, Domaine Launay-Horiot

Again this is a fine example of the new refined style the best producers are creating in Pommard. Fragrant, elegant, with sweet flesh, good control, precise flavours and a real sense of harmony. No hard edges and beautifully cultured on the finish. The vines here are 50 years old and the soil has less clay and both factors coupled with Xavier’s gentle handling have played their part in creating a lovely wine. Only 1200 bottles produced.
