As characterful as it is classy, this is made from 100% Bobal – a grape native to south east Spain – grown at 800m altitude on a breezy plateau some 50km from the coast. Organic certified, the grapes are fermented in tank and the wine raised in neutral oak casks. It’s wonderfully bright and fresh, with lifted red fruit, floral and savoury aromas. The palate is juicy but again, freshness is the watchword. Atance Bobal is a super option for summer drinking, and can be lightly chilled.
