2021 Côte-de-Nuits Villages, Maxime Cheurlin Noëllat

The fruit for Maxime’s 2021 Côte de Nuits Villages comes from Comblanchien and Brochon, a pair of communes that almost bookend the Côtes de Nuits. These villages are championed by two of our other winemakers too; Charles Magnien is an ardent ambassador of Brochon (an immediate neighbour of Gevrey) ever since he purchased a small slither there called Queue de Hareng and Alix Millot’s superb Côte de Nuits Village Aux Faulques, a wine we’re always oversubscribed on, hails from Comblanchien, which lies a couple of miles south of Nuits-St-Georges. We love Maxime’s 2021 Côte de Nuits Villages for the elegance and energy of the wine, so are delighted to have increased our allocation a smidge this year
