2020 Bourgogne Hautes-Côtes de Nuits Rouge, Maxime Cheurlin Noëllat

Plush and sexy Pinot Noir with a level of ripeness you might not expect from the Hautes-Côtes but all the freshness you would. On the nose, there’s juicy blackberry and strawberry, plus hints of spice, while the palate is medium-bodied and silky (lest we forget, we’re dealing here with one of Vosne’s most gifted vignerons). Characterful and sophisticated, this is a superb introduction to Maxime’s wines, and to the Hautes-Côtes.
