2021 Fleuries Les Ponciés, 'Cuvée Zen', Bret Brothers

Made with 100% whole bunches, from a 0.7ha parcel of vines 30 years old on south-west facing pink granite. This is another of the Bret’s ‘Zen’ cuvees, meaning that SO2 has been delayed until bottling with overall levels about half of what they normally are. This results in some particularly perfumed and open expressions of the terroir, here showing sweet gariguette strawberry with some wild, savoury undergrowth and a cool stony mineral quality. Some lovely intensity here with fine powdered tannins. Drink 2023 to 2027
