This is the first vintage of this wine, that comes from a plot
of 45 year old vines on stony soil. Although Jean-François has
half a hectare he only made four barrels. Even in 2022 he only
made nine, which is far from excessive. This is a little backward
and shows a touch of structure and masculinity compared to
the Beaune. It will need a little longer to integrate and blossom
but good potential here with sophistication for the appellation.
