2021 Mâcon Uchizy 'Cuvée Marguerite', Domaine Thevenard

Domaine Thevenard is an exciting and dynamic ‘new’ 12-hectare operation, brought to life by two brothers, Matthieu and Gaëtan Thevenard, who decided to return to the family property in Uchizy, just north of Mâcon, and become the 5th generation of vignerons in their family. Named after the boys’ grandmother, 'Cuvée Marguerite' is made from a plot of 2.5 hectares of mainly 65-year-old vines. It was aged in barrel for seven months before being switched to stainless steel for a further three months. It is compact and very clean with good purity and intensity.
