2023 Château Angelus, Clos du Milieu, Castillon-Côtes de Bordeaux

A vibrant and modern Merlot from a tiny 1.5ha vineyard at the top of a south-facing slope in Castillon-Côtes de Bordeaux. The de Boüard family of Château Angélus have created something delicious and refreshing from this spot on the limestone plateau. Generous with juicy black raspberry and cherry fruit, with aromatic red and purple petal aromas and stony minerality on the nose. It’s silky, rich and elegant on the palate, with a toasty finish.
