2023 Mâcon-Loché En Près Fôret, Domaine Clos des Rocs

The highly focused and intensely motivated Olivier Giroux runs his 13-hectare estate in Loché, a village that has surged in recognition in recent years. A great believer in the philosophy that you can only make great wines from great grapes, Olivier has been running the domaine biodynamically for a number of years and loves working his beloved vines every bit as much as working his magic in the winery. This wine has a wonderful purity of fruit that sits comfortably within its naturally rich character, buoyed by a salinity that really lifts and defines the wines. 90% is vinified and aged in stainless steel tanks, and 10% in 500-litre barrels for 11 months.
