2022 Pouilly-Loché En Chantone, Domaine Clos des Rocs

Planted immediately after the First World War, these vines now have the hundred up. They may no longer be very productive, but what they do produce is awesome. The nose here is a wonderful mix of clementine, chalk, stone and spice, with great energy and fluidity in the mouth. It seems to gain in savoury, saline elements as it opens out and finishes wonderfully sapid. Like Chablis with more weight.
