2023 Roero, Az. Ag. Matteo Correggia

The 2023 vintage has produced a remarkably expressive and approachable Roero. Fragrant aromas of wild strawberry, raspberry and red cherry are complemented by hints of vanilla and sweet spice. Gentle extraction and careful élevage have resulted in supple, rounded tannins that frame the fruit without overwhelming it. Medium-bodied and silky in texture, the palate combines juicy red berries with a subtle savoury complexity and a touch of spice through the finish. The wine is elegant and immediately appealing, yet crafted with enough structure to allow room for development.
