2020 Mercurey 1er Cru Clos du Roy, Domaine Charton

As the name suggests, this is a vineyard that has flirted with the royal tastebuds and the depth of fruit and length of flavour is really impressive. Again, the wine retains a feline energy that seduces the palate and yet, one can sense the depth of the wine and its discreet but evident structure. Don’t be in too much of a hurry to drink this.
