2023 Mercurey 1er Cru La Chassière, Domaine Charton

Vincent’s dad bought the plot of La Chassière for his son in 2010. The vineyard is so steep that most of the work needs to be done manually. In a solar vintage like 2023 and a south-facing vineyard, Vincent managed to make a wine with an incredible freshness, delicious floral notes from the whole bunch and suave velvety tannins. Around 50% whole bunch and 25% new oak were used.
