2022 La Rinconada Chardonnay, Tyler Winery

Planted by Richard Sanford in 1997 (next to the vineyard that bears his name), La Rinconada is well-exposed to the morning fog, and boasts complex, well-draining soils of clay loam and Monterey shale. The resulting wine is characterised by herbal and juicy orchard fruit, as well as citrus aromas. It’s a relatively muscular Chardonnay with taut structure and grapefruit pith flavours on the finish.
