2021 Mae Estate Pinot Noir, Tyler Winery

The development of the Mae Estate (named after his wife Amanda’s middle name) marks the next chapter for Tyler Winery. The estate is located at the base of the Purisima Hills in the heart of the Santa Rita Hills AVA. The Pinot Noir sits to the eastern side and the upper slope of the field, on the darkest, most clay rich soils on the property which are most conducive to producing exceptional Pinot Noir. This vintage contains 2/3 whole cluster adding to the intense aromatics of the wine with notes of baking spice, rhubarb, cranberry and tart cherry along with the classic elegance and bright acidity on the finish.
