2019 Levi Philander Davis Vineyard Petit Verdot, Snowden Vineyards

This is Diana’s personal favourite of the vintage. As in keeping with other vintages, this is the most tannic wine in the range but in 2019 the aromatics are of another level. This is a beautifully-sited vineyard, lying next to the Brothers vineyard and sitting at 800 feet of elevation. Antonio Galloni would seem to be in agreement with Diana: "The 2019 Petit Verdot Levi Philander Davis Vineyard is delicate, subtle and savory, with pretty aromatic presence and tons of class. This is an especially refined, nuanced expression of Petit Verdot that captures all the natural energy of the year. Sage, menthol, licorice and black cherry linger. 93 points."
