2022 Morey-Saint-Denis 1er Cru Les Monts-Luisants, Domaine Stéphane Magnien

Stéphane has a tiny holding of this vineyard up near Clos de la Roche where there is very little topsoil and the mother rock is just below. Arguably, it’s more traditional white wine territory but it works great for reds, too. This is very fine with lovely precision and a delicious savoury, saline quality that ignites the taste buds.
