2024 Beaune Rouge 1er Cru Grèves, Domaine Rapet Père & Fils

The Rapets have five different parcels here, all planted back in 1960. It has a different aromatic and flavour profile to the Cents Vignes, as the wine is more powerful and structure-dominated, as one would expect from a Grèves. There is more clay in the soil and although there is lots of flesh on the mid-palate, the best is very much still to come. Drink from 2031
