2020 Beaune 1er Cru Les Bressandes, Domaine Rapet Père & Fils

This makes for a lovely contrast with the more powerful Beaune Grèves below. Here it's all about the aromatics and the finesse, with lovely precise tannins and bright, cool red fruit flavours. From start to finish one is impressed by the sheer elegance and harmony of the wine. There are no hard edges yet the balance is such that it should reward a good amount of ageing.
