2020 Beaune 1er Cru Clos des Champs Pimont, Domaine Rapet

Like Pernand, Beaune had a very good 2020 and this is a rather nice example. Plenty of fruit here but Vincent cleverly manages to maintain the drive and focus of the wine which gives it a certain poise and lift. If all white Beaunes were as good and as lively as this, the world would be a better place.
