2020 Barbaresco Ovello, Cantina del Pino

Perfumed and seductive, with aromas of wild strawberry, raspberry and sweet spice, but this is no fly by night wine; the 2020 Ovello combines lashings of ripe fruit and pliant tannins with impressive concentration – many of the vines here are over 70 years old – and a lingering, stony finish. It will drink well shortly after release and for many years to come.
