2021 Meursault Rouge 1er Cru Blagny Sous le Bois, Domaine Matrot

Although this has an enviable south-east exposition, it is always the last to be harvested, thanks to its elevated position. Still, it’s a very complete wine as result, maturing calmly thanks to the extra hang time. It has some structure but the tannins are ripe and well incorporated. Something of a bargain thanks to its less familiar status.
