2022 Maranges 1er Cru La Fussière, Domaine Matrot

This comes from fruit from her husband’s domaine (Roblet Monnot) from the most interesting vineyard in Maranges, which lies just to the south of Santenay. Fussière is a steep, high vineyard that stretches all the way to the top of the slope. The vines that produce this wine come from the lower part where there is a little more clay, which gives the wines more power and structure.
