2018 Hautes-Côtes de Nuits La Roche, Domaine Thibault Liger-Belair

This tends to ripen a little later and is the last parcel to be picked. A slightly cooler site on rock, it ripens in its own time, though this is not a bad thing in a vintage like 2018. Thibault and Eric maintained a very light extraction on this cuvée in order to only extract the tannins they wanted. The wine is still quite backward but the balance seems to be there, and an extra year in bottle with allow it express itself very attractively.
