2022 Montagny 1er Cru Choix du Roi, Domaine Bruno Lorenzon

This is part of the Mont Laurent vineyard, lying towards the top of the slope facing directly east. It’s one of the last parcels to be picked, which gives it an excellent intensity without too much richness, packed with nuance and complexity rather than showstopping fat. Naturally, we think it’s all the better for being so. Plenty of salty stoniness comes through and a crackle of electric minerality. Great value. Drink from 2027
