2023 Chablis Grand Cru Les Clos, Domaine Long-Depaquit

This is perhaps the best known of all Chablis' Grands Crus. It sits on slightly richer soil with more marne and enjoys plenty of sunshine. This example sees a touch more oak, at around 35%, as there is greater weight and structure to absorb it. Despite its evident richness, this is arguably the fullest and more overtly structured of the three grands crus this release, and will need plenty of time to come together.
