2021 Spear Vineyard Sta Rita Hills Chardonnay, Kings Carey

Spear Vineyard is in the heart of the Santa Rita Hills with 12 year old vines and organically farmed. As the Chardonnay blocks are in one of the colder parts of the vineyard, this requires a longer hang time, which adds to a more complex and rich mid-palate. The nose is filled with rich apple and pear along with tropical notes of pineapple and barely ripe mango. Complimenting the lifted acidity on the palate are notes of fig, pear and green apple with a lenghty and rich finish.
