2021 Saint-Joseph, Tildé, Domaine Pierre Jean Villa

Smokey, peppery and black-fruit scented, this is another brooding, mineral Saint-Joseph with a huge amount of potential. It’s grown on some of the steepest slopes farmed by P-J and his team, which yield intensely concentrated berries that, in the right hands, capture and express the drama of the landscape here. The name Tildé is a nod to P-J’s Spanish ancestry. He describes it as his ‘signature wine.’
