2022 Pouilly-Fuissé Climat En Carementrant 'Cuvée Zen', Bret Brothers

The Brets have consistently raised the bar for Vinzelles (their home appellation) and helped change perceptions of the Mâconnais in general. They’re also among the most persuasive advocates we have met for organic and biodynamic viticulture. Located just below the famous « Roche de Vergisson » with a South exposure and an elevation of about 300m, there is little surprise that the climat « En Carementrant » is one of the best for the appellation Pouilly-Fuisse. Aged 11 months in oak barrels (no new oak) then 6 in stainless steel tanks and unfiltered, this cuvee displays some delicious notes of citrus fruits, blossom and a fine streak of minerality. There is finesse and complexity!
