2023 Macon-Villages Cuvée Terroirs du Mâconnais, Bret Brothers

<div>This is a stunning Chardonnay, blended from some of the finest terroirs in the region, all farmed organically. It combines the fresh acidity that’s a given in the Brets’ wines with aromas of ripe white fruit, apple and honeysuckle, and a touch of phenolic grip. The ‘23 was raised primarily in tank, with a proportion in 500L barrels (many of them bought from none other than Olivier Lamy). It’s a wine of surprising complexity and depth, but one that’s easy to enjoy – and ready to drink from summer 2026.<br></div>
