These south-facing old vines on a steep slope have made
a wine full of contrast. The rich clay soil has given the wine
its Pommard character and weight, yet the steepness of the
slope has given an element of strictness which keeps all the
fruit in line. Smells like there’s a lot of whole bunch here but
there isn’t any at all. Just total fragrance from the ripeness of
the grapes.
