2023 San Andreas Fault Pinot Noir, Hirsch Vineyards

This is the estate signature, named after the significant geological and topographical influence of the fault line, with grapes coming from 30 blocks across the vineyard. David calls this the “Hirsch Hirsch”. Explosive and pronounced, but in a lighter frame this year, coming across silky and elegant on the palate. Fresh dark cherry and mint are the first aromas, with more floral notes emerging in time. On the palate it’s fresh, incredibly enjoyable, and finishes with noticeable salinity.
