2024 Saint-Romain La Perrière Blanc, Domaine Henri & Gilles Buisson

This is an outstanding Saint-Romain, grown at over 300 metres in a fairly cool, east-facing vineyard whose name derives from its stony (limestone) soils. With citrus, blossom, apple and subtle hazelnut aromas, it's luxuriously textured but is characterised above all by its sheer freshness, tension and salinity. There's very little new oak in Buisson's cellar: this was raised primarily in one-year old barrels.<br>
