2020 Mendocino Ridge Faîte De Mer Farm Pinot Noir , Drew Family

11 months in 12% new French oak, 40% whole cluster, 13.3% alc. Made entirely from estate fruit. As you move towards the ocean from the Anderson Valley the wines move to more of a savoury quality versus red fruit. Petrichor, coastal forest floor, fir tips, wild huckleberry and wild mushrooms and black truffles. This wine smells like the forest and the fog. The flavours are consistent with the nose but darker flavours which have multiple layers of wild berries and forest floor with a darker fruit spectrum than the Mid Elevation or Anderson Valley wines.
