2021 Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru Les Cailles, Domaine Robert Chevillon

Just seven barrels from 1.2 hectares were produced which is around a third of what would have been hoped for in a normal vintage. Still, what there is, is great. The fruit is perhaps a tad darker than usual with plenty of spicy earthiness but it retains a healthy sense of definition and purpose. Much to like about this.
