Clos du Roy is planted with both Pinot and
Chardonnay, with the vines now around
60 years of age. The Pinot is planted in the
middle to lower part of the slope, whilst the
Chardonnay is planted higher up, where there
is less sun exposure. The oak is very discreet
and the fruit is saline and taut. This works
