2022 Sanford and Benedict Pinot Noir, Chanin

Another wonderful showing, with lifted floral aromas, savoury base notes and lashings of red fruit and damsons. Not exactly richer than the ’21 – despite the warmer growing season – but more concentrated. The tannins are silky and there’s layer after layer of fruit on the mid-palate but again, this wine has purity, finesse and freshness to spare. 45% whole cluster here.
