2021 Santenay 1er Cru Les Gravieres, Domaine Bruno Colin

From 34-year-old vines grown on fairly sandy soils, this shows a combination of well-ripened red and black berry fruit, and offers the most density of the red cuveés. The tannins are quite moderate here though have a charming rusticity to them that anchors the wine nicely and offers some textural intrigue. There is lovely concentration here and fine detail to the fruit. An excellent example of this vineyard.
