2019 Croix Beausejour, Chateau Beausejour, St-Emilion

Joséphine Duffau-Lagarrosse is the seventh generation at this historic St-Émilion estate, having taken the reins in 2023. Croix is their second wine, made from mostly Merlot grown at the bottom of their sloped vineyards. It is full of red cherry, plum and black raspberry, with complex espresso and bitter dark chocolate notes. A subtle chalky note adds bite on the palate.
